Trade Street Press is an independent publishing house built around stories with a strong sense of place, memorable characters and the small moments that stay with us long after the last page.
It is the publishing home of Emily Coleman’s The Bar Series, beginning with The Last Good Seat at the Bar and continuing with Music From Open Windows.
The stories are rooted in the Lowcountry. In family and friendship, old traditions, second chances, music playing from another room, meals shared around crowded tables and the places that become part of who we are.
Those stories eventually inspired something beyond the books.
Trade Street & Co. grew from the world created on the page, carrying pieces of that coastal life into apparel, goods, and a community built around the same simple idea:
